The Mazda brand is celebrating a 10.1 percent increase in sales as their January total came to 21,698 units sold for the month. This now officially makes this their best January sales since 2012, meaning that the brand is on pace to start off 2017 on a high note.

The Mazda CX-9 was by far the biggest seller in January with sales reaching 8,068 units making this the model’s best-ever January. In all, this total represents a year-over-year increase of 14.2 percent. The Mazda CX-9 on the other had was the model with the highest year-over-year increase as sales for this vehicle were up 210.7 percent to reach 1,591 units sold throughout January.

Additional January Totals:

  • Sales of the Mazda3 reached 6.623 units
  • Sales of the Mazda6 increased 28.3 percent to reach 3,300 units
  • Sales of the MX-5 Miata increased 65.9 percent to reach 929 units
  • Sales of the Mazda CX-3 reached 1,184 units
