THE NEW MAZDA 3
Why do Mazda drivers love to drive their cars? There are probably a lot of reasons but maybe this statement from Jay Chen, powertrain manager for Mazda North America, will help explain, "Instead of trying to figure out how to make the car corner faster, let's figure out how the human body works and design a car that responds in the way the human body is used to. Automatically, things feel right."
A COMPANY OF ENGINEERS
It is logical that drivers like to drive cars that feel right to them. One of those "right feeling" Mazdas is the Mazda3. The all new 2019 Mazda3 will be here this spring. It comes in two models: a hatchback and a sedan and each model stands alone. The 2019 Mazda3 hatchback is not a sedan made into a hatchback nor is the sedan a hatchback without the hatch. So many other manufacturers would have gone one of those ways, but Mazda is a company of engineers. Although a world-wide presence, Mazda is still nimble enough to not feel the need to cater to expedience.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
The new 2019 Mazda3 looks like a luxury compact car inside and out. Fit and finish exceed expectations at every turn and help reinforce the cars actual performance. This is all made possible through Mazdas commitment to bring automotive design to life and make it an art form. When you see the 2019 Mazda3 the first thing you notice is how shadows and light play across the sheet metal creating depth and movement. This design is special. Inside everything is tasteful, simple but complete. Mazda is committed to gasoline engines. Unlike others, Mazda believes the future belongs to gas and the new Skyactiv-X engine illustrates this in a practical way. Without getting into the weeds, the Skyactiv-X engine combines gasoline engine technology with diesel technology. Why? Because Mazda has found a way to get more horsepower and torque out of an engine and reduce the size and emissions but still increase gas mileage. We are talking nearly hybrid numbers here without the extra motors and batteries.
ZOOM. ZOOM.
So, what we have here in the 2019 Mazda3 is a cool looking vehicle, that uses gas, comes automatic or manual in the transmission department and uses 6-speeds there. Why? Because Mazda wants the shifts quick and positive and wants to lock the torque down so there is no mushy feeling acceleration. You know: fun. Zoom. Zoom. If there ever was a car you needed to test-drive its a Mazda. Seriously, you owe it to yourself just to experience the difference.
